Elon Musk offered his experience to help save a batch of school children trapped in a flooded cave in Thailand - and he thinks his inflatable tubes can do the trick.
Twelve boys and their football team coach visited the Tham Luang cave system in Northern Thailand when they were stuck in floods 10 days ago. It is expected that a stronger rain will lead to the flooding of caves, and the sections of the aisles are too narrow to pass through the nasal tanks. Former naval diver Saman Gunan died after delivering oxygen to children on Thursday, demonstrating how dangerous caving could be from caves.
Employees of SpaceX and drilling companies, founded by Musk, are sent to Thailand to assist. The drilling company was created to drill road tunnels and could use ground-based radar or air pumps.
Founder Tesla Musk also suggested the launch of an inflatable tunnel through irregular passages in the cave, which can become a road to safety.
